750 ml bottle into a tulip glass. A 2021 release, had 3/2/23.
Pours a dark ruby color, semi opaque, with a one and a half inch creamy foam head and a good amount of clingy lacing. Aromas of cherries, malt, chocolate as it warms, light red wine. Smells lightly sour and tart, has a somewhat herbal aroma. Flavors of chocolate, malt, some cherries and red wine, light fernet. Tastes a bit sour, and a little tart and spicy. Also tastes herbal as it warms. Smooth, a little acidic, a very good medium body. Nitro is nitro, great at the start, fades in a bigger bottle like a 750.
Liked this more as I worked through the bottle. The husks show well, a solid base as expected. The fernet peeks out when this is fully warmed. Moderately sour and acidic. Very nice.
