12oz bottle from their holiday mix pack. Overview: NB's Trippel with the addition of mulling spices. Why? Some basic tripel yeasty notes are there, but it's mostly cinnamon and a touch of orange peel. It does not add anything to this brew. In my opinion, it's a far lesser brew than the original. Thumbs down.

Look - a special release of the usual Trippel for the holiday variety pack, brewed with cinnamon bark and tangerine extract. Poured into a chalice. Light golden in color, clear, with little to no head but some lacing.
Smell - classic Belgian yeast with a bit more fruity forwardness. in addition to the citrus, i detect some apples and some general sweetness. cinnamon notes are faint but detectable if sniffed hard enough.
Taste - surprisingly refreshing. light tartness hits the palate first, followed by a wave of fresh fruits detected in the smell. some sweetness and malt flavors follow, and finish is clean.
Feel - light bodied, high carbonation, and while boozy at 8% ABV, alcohol is extremely well masked.
Overall - a lighter and fruitier cousin to the original Trippel, this is a refreshing and tasty tripel that is very easy to drink and can get you happy real quick. Merry Christmas!
