Handsome clear golden amber brew with plenty of foam in the wine glass. Big aroma of citrus, cucumber, and pine. Lush and sudsy carbonation. Fairly sweet with a zingy finish. Spicy and tastes of pine, cucumber, orange peel, and candied pineapple. Rather intense flavors, but quite sippable. Moderately bitter. To me this is by far the best of the Voodoo brews, though it does have that family frooty-sweet taste. From the 12 oz can purchased at the market. Dated 02 JUN 2024.

Pours hazy gold with thick head and lace. Floral and citrus aroma. Slight bitterness followed by dry, citrus sweetness and crisp finish. One of the better Voodoo versions that I have had. Doesn't seem too boozy. A solid IPA.

Bought a 6-pack cans $9.99 Target
22 days before best by date
Light citrus smells
Hazy golden orange-tinged color
Medium mouthfeel
Medium-high carbonation
Taste like fruit juice, oranges, grapefruit
Overall an easy drinking beer that hides the alcohol well. Flavors seems muted and smooth, but that may be due to age even though it is before best by date.

surprised to learn this is as strong as it is, its an easy drinker, not quite pale ale light and balanced, but it doesnt taste or feel strong to me, its summery and fruity, well refined, and easy down, one of the better voodoo ranger beers ive had in some time, i dont feel like im being tricked by fake fruit character trying to be passed off as hops in this one, and overall i think its a nice expression of cashmere, even if i let my single can get a little old in the beer fridge, its still drinking pretty vibrant and clean. hazy but not heavy, more unfiltered looking than anything, high white head on it with tight bubbles. the cashmere is obvious in the nose, muddled lemongrass, fresh fleshy coconut, some sativa weedy character, and there might be some citra or something in here too, driving more of the citrus than cashmere generally does on its own, not positive, a hint of cold snappy green snacking grapes in here too. the grain is starchy but dry for the most part, out of the way but supporting well. the flavor is similar to the nose in terms of lemon forward fruitiness, but i now get a hint of tangerine and kumquat too, not quite tangy, and then also some later hop spiciness which i dont normally associate with cashmere either, almost noble for a flash and bringing a little more bitterness than i expected to the back end, no problem with that at all. it gets even more tropical as it warms, the alcohol stays away, and the grain doesnt get sweet at any point, but there is an almost creamy body to this, coconut abounds at the end, lemon candy, very solid. wish i drank it a little fresher, but this is a good one.

Poured into a Nonic.

Pours medium gold and modestly hazed. Excellent soft pillowy head that lingers quite well. Good lacing.

Floral and citrus aromas are subdued but solid. A little grass. A little pale malt.

The brew drinks fairly "dry" for the ABV level owing to the pilsner and pale malts. They honey malt lurks in the background, imparting a faint sweetness. The bitterness is very modest and mostly grassy and floral/herbal with some citrus pith. As a result of these choices, the dry and herbal/citrus flavor, faint sweetness, and low IBU level hearkens back a bit to the Brut IPAs that were the rage a handful of years ago.

This beer does not drink at all like a 7.5% of any style, let alone an IPA. It isn't crisp by any means, but like the flavor, the drying finish begs for another sip.

Most of the "Voodoo" brews from New Belgium have seemed gimmicky or muddled. This isn't just the highest rated Voodoo Ranger beer I've had, it's the the highest I've rated a New Belgium brew (full disclosure--I've not had Le Terroir or La Folie).

Cashmerize BB02JUN2024 Pours a hazy orange pineapple color with a one inch head and a fizzy, hoppy and juicy aroma. Taste follows the nose and is fairly middle of the road type hazy IPA that might have a hint of sweetness. Although not strong nor bitter it's easy drinking and enjoyable. Overall I would probably buy this again. I think it was acceptable to the ladies too.

Golden appearance with medium white cap. Aroma of sharp, earthy hops.

Taste on entry is solid malt with bitter, earthy, slightly floral hops and a definite hop punch presented in a clean package without any real miscues.

Overall this is a good enough IPA which is to say I would buy it again but wouldn't drive any extra distance to get it.

Part of a mixed 12 pack of 12oz cans. No ingredients per the website or can. 7.5% ABV, 26 IBU.
Pours out to a very slightly hazy pale blond, forming a large white head with excellent retention and lacing. Carbonation is moderate, ~2.5 carbs or so. The nose starts with pineapple, followed by pine , a little peach, No MJ or cat pee, not "dank". Mouthfeel is soft (oats, wheat?), quite smooth (as the name would suggest), medium-firm body, finishing lightly dry.
The taste starts with the pineapple and pine, then there is a nice, well balanced malted barley body...I'm thinking pils by the flavor and color, with a little grainy husk towards the tail, then a smooth very well balanced bitterness. I would say mild, which is my preference in the IPA world. Plenty of hop flavor but doesn't assault the mouth and make this an easy drinker. No off flavors or aromas.

I'm digging this one. I would definitely buy it again due to it's good flavor, lower bitterness and enjoyable malt flavor, however I wouldn't mind a little MJ skunk added to the mix. A well done IPA. Recommended.

Voodoo Ranger Cashmerize IPA pours a hazy orange color with a large, lacing, long-lasting head. The aroma is dried tropical fruit and some spice. THe flavor is dry, tropical fruit, with just a hint of sweetness, a spice flavor mixed. Good creamy feel. A very nice hazy IPA and nice spice flavors set it apart.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from the Festival Store in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. It poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had subtle citrus notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink crisp semi sweet malt notes with citrus presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of orange, mango, guava and caramel. Sweet tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.
