Enjoyed on-tap @ The 3 Kings Public House in The Loop (St. Louis), MO for $5. Tapped from the Red/White Surfboard Looking Tap Handle w/ Lips of Faith, P.I.P.A. on it into a 10oz Boulevard Smokestack Series Tulip Glass.

Aroma- Has a prominent citrus hop aroma with a bit of a grassy note in here. Seems dry hopped and has a light fruity character. Hard to pick these out since the aroma is light-medium.

Appearance- Received with a 1 finger head that has good retention. Has a pale orange color body that is semi-hazy. The lacing is very thick.

Flavor- Very clean and refreshing taste. Starts with a citrus hop taste that is very light and also finishes with a light bitterness. Not enough character here...

Mouthfeel- Light- Medium Bodied, Low Carbonation, Smooth, and leaves a light grapefruit and flower taste in the mouth. Very nice mouthfeel!

Overall Impression- I'm very glad I got to try this limited brew! They only had a 1/6 barrel of this @ 3 Kings and had to try. Not enough hop and character for an A-IPA but won't cut it down because it was a very enjoyable brew. Almost like a pale ale for me but try it and see what you think.

Pours a hazy gold with a nice white foam that sticks around and leaves ok lace.

The aroma and taste follow each other closely with tropical fruit, papaya, juicy fruit, and grassy hops on top of toasted bread and biscuit. A little dry in the finish.

Overall, an easy drinking IPA that does nothing to stand out. Average.

Appears clear golden with a small white head.

Smells of grassy hops and tropical fruit. There is a mild sweet grain flavor to the beer as well.

It tastes mildly of tropical fruit: I get mango and papaya. There is a mild citrus flavor as well. There is a very mild bitterness (for an IPA. the beer ends with some sweet and toasty malt flavor.

The beer has a thin mouthfeel and has moderate low carbonation.

Overall not a bad beer but nothing stands out about it. Worth trying if you see it but it is nothing to search out.

I had this one up at the brewery this afternoon. This one was on one of the taps on the side of the cooler. I enjoyed it so much I had a second glass. Poured a nice golden color with a decent white head. Aromas of citrus and tropical fruit (papaya, guava, mango, passion fruit). On the palate, this one was medium bodied and very good, with flavors of citrus zest and tropical fruit.
