Having a really slick and slimy feel is the biggest downside here. Clean overwise, very juicy and fruity, not much pine or direct bitterness. Good stuff.

12 oz. can pours an almost clear dark orange color with rocky off-white head and some lacing. Aroma is piney with some grapefruit, honey, and caramel sweetness in the background. Body is medium without too much carbonation. Taste is bitter but not at all punishing or shocking. If this were brewed by an unknown brewer of mediocre beers in North Dakota, I might rate it higher. As a product of a major brewer competing for grocery store and gas station shelf space, it's better than average.

Electric Thunderclap has a clear, burnished-gold appearance, with fairly-heavy lacing. The aroma is of sharp hop aromas and white bread crust. The flavor is of mild, hop resin bitterness and white bread crust. Electric Thunderclap has a medium body and a dry finish. It is fairly dull, overall.

Looks BOSS with the rocky head and clear amber body. The smell and taste is malt and honey with some mint-pine kick. The brew is just missing a hook to make it great.

what a great surprise received a gift of a mixed pack from voodoo and was pleasantly suprised by this beer instead of the pale or hazy IPA a throwback to the IPAs I love amber with citrus and malt flavors one of the best new IPAs I have had in a long time enough with hazys, champagne styles and such get back to the real thing. 4.5 Hope they bring it out on its own as it deserves.

Another pick from the mixed VR twelve pack I picked up for the New Year at Shoppers. Heavy grapefruit is the first thing I notice in the nose. Flavor is pine and citrus and reasonably old school. A little lupulin dust and a resin laced finish. Nort a creativity standout but well executed.

Poured from a 12 oz can into a pint glass. Full three finger off white frothy head, with excellent lacing as the beer is consumed. The body of the beer is a clear amber in color. Mild citrus on the nose. The first sip has that typical grapefruit - hop flavor, with more of a hop bite to it. Smooth mouthfeel. I like that this series of Voodoo Rangers aren't as sweet as some of their predecessors. A good beer for about $1.50 each in the variety pack.

Part of a mixed 12 pack of Voodoo Ranger beers. 12oz can.
Brew with pale malt and Crystal 80. Hopped with Citra and Centennial.
7.5% ABV, 32 IBU.
Pours out to a crystal clear medium amber (a nice change of pace to see an amber IPA), forming a very nice head with excellent retention and nice lacing. Medium carbonation, ~2.5 carbs or so. The nose is grapefruit, pine, a little tropical fruit. Mouthfeel is smooth with a medium dense body which is a bit syrupy. Starts out lightly sweet, caramel followed by pine and grapefruit without any pithy bitterness. I'm getting a little cardboard in the middle and finish unfortunately. Bitterness is fairly mild for an IPA.
This one isn't doing much for me. The cardboard and caramel notes kinda ruin it for me. I'm not gonna dump it but I wouldn't buy it again or recommend it.

Pours a slightly darker amber color than most IPAs. Outstanding taste with plenty of flavor and a nice bite to it.
