Served on-tap at the source itself in Fort Collins. On to the beer:
Hazed golden in color and topped with a good, long lasting creamy head. While I don't think of New Belgium as a hoppy paradise, I do think they got the nose right. Using wet hops, it's a tropical orgasm, highlighted by succulent aromas of passionfruit and mango.
Sometimes the smell is the zenith and it's all downhill which I was speculating, but speculate no more. Nearly as appetizing as the nose, the taste is full of mango, orange, grapefruit, and canteloupe flavor, yet it also retains the high refreshment and drinkability found in a pale ale. It's medium bodied with a smooth and creamy texture.
Like the Super IPA I also tasted, Colorado Wet Hop is delicious. A little more delicate if you're looking for a comparison.
