Poured a amber/borown color with some good carbonation and a nice white head. Nose is malty, lots of wheat, banana and clove too. Taste was a bit thicker than the traditional Creekside hefe. Taste was caramel, chocolate and maybe even toasted malts with wheat, banana and clove. Mouthfeel is chewy but smooth, very smooth. Easy drinking at 5.4 ABV I could really drink this beer all day. My wife, friends and I all downed a pint if this easily and in no time.

Draught at the brewpub. Opaque brown with a creamy light beige head. Aromas of light chocolate, cloves, banana, and fruity perfume. There is a definite roast component adding a distinctive coffee element, though it is light in the overall flavor profile. the roast balances a heavier malt sweetness than their regular hef. There is also some light spice and wheat flavor, though banana is not really detectable. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Smooth drinking and on the dry side for the style, which adds to drinkability. Very similar to the regular hef, but with a bit more heft and the roast. The yeast that they use adds a distinct prefumey quality in the aromas of both beers. A good take on the style, and a beer that I would get next time if it is still around.
