BHB made a small batch of pumpkin ale for the local market in growlers & draft only. I managed to snag one to try it out. Served in pilsener style glasses. Dark orange color, with a hazy body. Pretty decent head formed. A slight bit of lacing on the glass. Smell was a lot like pumpkin pie. Taste was very heavy on the sugar and spice and cinnamon flavors. Mouthfeel was fairly good, had some nice malt backbone to it. The beer is labeled as unfiltered, as you can see by about the third pour. The first couple glasses were OK, but towards the end I could see lots of floaties in the glass. There was also sediment at the bottom of the glass. Not bad tasting, but just a different look than other pumpkin ales out there. One or two glasses were good, but the third, I could pass on. I bet this would be decent on tap, if the sediment doesn't leave the keg. A decent stab at a pumpkin ale.
