22 oz bottle was poured into a pint glass.
Appearance: This beer poured a one finger head that reduced to a thin layer. It is a copper color with great clarity and bubbles seen coming up through the glass. Nice lacing on the glass as the beer was drank.
Smell: Sweet toffee, caramel, and toasted grains.
Taste: Same as above with some lingering hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, chewy, low to medium bodied, medium carbonation, and very drinkable.
Overall: A very nice mild for this time of the year. Nice, light, sessionable. How can you go wrong? Will be getting more of this beer.

Poured from the bomber into a pint glass. Nice sized white head, sitting on an amber brown body. Ample carbonation. Smell had hints of wood and tobacco. Taste was mostly dominated by the malt. Hops are very much in the background only. Mouthfeel was very smooth and drinkable. Low abv makes this beer a brew you could really enjoy for a while. While not bursting with flavor, this beer is a smooth drinking malt lovers dream. It really sticks to the definition of a mild ale.

Appearance: Beautiful translucent gold with copper and bronzed highlights. Small frothy head that deteriorates slowly but surely over time. Lazy carbonation
Scent: Honeyed, sweet malt, light biscuit/cracker, restrained floral and sweet-leaning hop notes; bready and simple but on point given the recipe
Taste: Nicely toasted, sweet malt character combined with a somewhat slight, angular bitterness in the finish. Great balance between the malt and hop varieties
Mouthfeel: Smooth and crisp with a simple but deep palate. Carbonation is initially fizzy but peters out over the course of the glass
Drinkability: Excellent, like every Antimatter beer. Worthy of conversation, too, given the slight complexities afforded by a simple, open palate
Overall: This is a pretty fantastic example of an English mild. With a limited recipe, Blue Hills achieved the creation of a complex yet rather straightforward style-piece that can be appreciated and enjoyed by many kinds of beer drinkers, from the fledgling to the snob. This is the series' greatest achievement in my opinion, and it shouldn't stop here!

Tasted at the Boston Globe Travel Show.
Starts with a modest head but it dies to nothing. Leaves a few spots of lace on the glass. Dark gold color and reasonably clear.
Nearly no smell. Mostly malty with a bit of creamed corn to the nose.
Spritzy feel. Nice "round" flavor of pale malts, but there is a modest hop kick that makes this more balanced than most Milds. The finish is well-balanced. An excellent beer to include in a session.
