This is a good ipa but not worth $14.00 a 4 pack. A lot better out there for that price.

32 oz crowler -- man it's nice to see one of these again! -- date unreadable on bottom of can. I like the Mandelbrot design on the label.
Pours a hazy, soft orange-gold color with a half-finger head that settles down to a film quickly. Not too impressive there
Aroma is weak of hops but vaguely has tones of citrus and tropical fruit. There is a sharp bready smell also mixed in that is not doing much for me. Again, not too impressive and this is *not* in keeping with the NEIPA style that they boldly splash on the label.
Taste is sweet and fizzy up front. If there is a hop profile that is murky when cold but after mellowing it becomes strong with a dank pot flavor, which is appealing. This fades into a muddled and faint hop flavor that quickly gets overtaken by a rush of bitter. This is a surprisingly bitter beer, maybe at Dogfish Head 90 Minute level.
Feel is a bit creamy and smooth. I'm guessing that they put some adjuncts in like flaked oats. I think it helps this beer.
Okay, so I have a bone to pick here. This is NOT a NEIPA by any means and I'm a bit pissed that they market it that way. Possibly I would place this in the tradition of a Maine Hazy IPA because of the adjuncts and sweet base, only the strong bitterness would make it an outlier not to mention that very weak hop flavor. At best I would call this a West Coast IPA except for the dank flavor, and I think here it can find some success.
That said it is an enjoyable beer, just know what to expect.
However someone needs to tell them that this is not a "juicy" beer, and to respect style labels... I guess I just did.
