I tried this at the brewpub.

The beer poured a fairly clear amber color with a ½-finger of off white head that lasted about a minute and left some good lacing.

Sweet caramel smell.

Caramel malt forms the backbone , but there are also plenty of citrusy hops for balance. There is a moderate bitter bite to this as well.

Surprised by the smooth creamy mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation.

Nothing like a fresh tapped bee right at the brewery They haven't bottled this stuff yet but you can get a growler of it to take home..

A: light amber body, trace head, light lacing

S: light biscuit, carmel, malt, light spices

T: sweet malt, biscuit, caramel, mild nutty, dry finish

M: med/light body, dry/crisp mouth

O: Usually not a huge fan of reds, but this was solid.
Good session brew, little on the light side.

SOLID, NOT A MUST TRY!

Served in a shaker pint glass at the brewpub.

As I continue with my Limestone experience, I note how many of their beers have ABVs in the 4-6 range, generally lower (on average) than most other brewpubs 'round here. I like it. This illustrative example pours a hazy sunset russet topped by a half-finger of white micro-foam. The nose comprises mild caramel, biscuits, and a dash of nutmeg. The taste holds notes of light caramel, orange peel, dark greens, flowers, and some light cedar. The body is a hefty light, with a moderate carbonation and a dry finish. Overall, a pretty nice amber, nothing to write home about, but tasty enough anyway.

Poured from a growler into a Le Cheval Blanc pint glass.

Pours a deep amber hue with a big light tan, creamy head. The head stands up very well and leaves tons of lacing.

Aromas of citrusy hops and firm, caramel malt sweetness.

First sip is like the aroma, citrusy hop bitterness and nice backbone of caramelly malt. Lingering bitterness and malt sweetness on the finish, which fades slowly, demanding additional sips to remind yourself of the beer.

Mouthfeel is light, not watery. Chewy malt with a nice bittering bite.

Very drinkable beer, great session beer. I may have to finish off the growler tonight.
