Served in a shaker pint glass at the brewpub.
I looked forward to trying this one after seeing it on the chalkboard as I sat down at the bar. Sounded pretty dern tasty. We'll see... It pours a clear dark sunset garnet topped by a half-finger of dirty white micro-foam. The nose comprises roasted malts, molasses, blackened pretzels, and light cocoa. The taste holds notes of roasted malts, light char, mild dark chocolate, brown sugar, and light peppers. The body is a light-ish medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a rather dry finish. Overall, a very nice little stout, one that I can see drinking regularly if able.

Poured into a Le Cheval Blanc pint glass.
Pours black with ruby highlights around the edges with a creamy, mocha colored head. About 2 fingers of head drops to a thin wisp after a few minutes, leaving lots of lacing.
Aromas of roasted grains, dark cocoa and coffee. No hop aroma. No "maple" aromas to speak of.
First sip is of a milk chocolate stout, very creamy, coffee and cocoa notes. Light roasted flavors. No hop flavors. The barest hint of what might be called maple flavors. But I might just be talking myself into that one. However, after it warms a bit, there is a slight smokey sweetness that could be attributable to maple syrup.
Mouthfeel is light, but creamy, like watered-down low fat chocolate milk.
Very drinkable beer. Nice session beer. Nothing aggressive or over the top, easy drinking beer.
