Served in a shaker pint glass at the brewpub.

Never match the plow. ...Yeah...I don't know where that came from, either...sorry... Anyway, this stuff pours a dark sunset amber topped by a half-finger of glowing off-white foam. The nose comprises pine, mint, deep caramel, grass, and greens. The taste holds notes of pine, sweet caramel, and light mint. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fairly smooth feel. Overall, a pretty nice pale ale, nothing crazily good, but definitely something to aim for during a visit if you haven't tried it yet.

The Plow Match Pale Ale from Limestone was a decent Pale ale...nothing exceptional. The appearance was a nice amber with thin white head...which only partly laced. The smell had some pine and citrus notes, but nothing noteworthy. The taste was good and very nice malt balance with hop notes....smoe citrus and pine present. This is a good session ale because nothing was overpoweing and the ABV was drinkable. Overall to too bad, but I have certainly had better pale ales.

Pours a very hazy deep copper with a slight orange/tan head. Head drops slowly. Leaves a mere wisp of foam and some lacing.

Aromas of grapefruit and citrus hops. Caramel malt providing a very nice backdrop.

Flavors of grapefruit, citrus peel, and toasted, caramel malt. Finish is medium, with a nice malty, grapefruit flavor lingering.

Mouthfeel is light/medium, with a nice mouthcoating bitterness and a good level of carbonation.

Overall a very nice brew. I think I still favor Pilcher, but this will do very nicely until the hop harvest this year and Amarillo are available again. For some reason, the on tap version last night was much more hazy than the growler I picked up today. Still a very fine brew if you don't judge a book by its cover.
