Man, this beer reminds me of how much I hate the single-malt scotch aisles out there, what with their difficult-to-pronounce-properly names and whatnot. Anyway, it pours a dark sunset garnet topped by a finger of dirty cream-white foam. The nose comprises toffee, very light roasted malts, and very light mandarin orange. The taste brings in more of the same, with the addition of a small bit of dark greens to make things all the more English (apparently). The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a slick, smooth feel. Overall, a very nice, eminently drinkable brew, something a helluva lot more breweries need to look into making...

A- This beer pours a dark brown walnut body with a glow at the base of the glass. The bubbly light tan head is creamy and last a good bit. The beer is a bit too dense to see much carbonation except for the odd bubble gliding up the side of the glass.

S- The yeasty aroma blends with a pale chocolate malt note and a touch of roasted malt underneath. The aroma is pretty clean but fresh.

T- The soft roasted malt doesn't have any bitterness and some pale malt flavor grow as the beer opens. There is a raw grain character and some chocolate malt notes that start to come through aswell. The finish is a spicy hop note with a pretty clean finish.

M- The full mouthfeel has a slightly slippery finish and a tight little fizz.

O- The malt roasted notes and the fullness of the mouthfeel has some good character with a gentle support from the hops and fizz. It is much lighter than a stout or porter and has a clean crisp malt freshness to it. It really works with the house yeast character that they have.

Limestone’s very 1st Collaboration beer, brewed with Flossmoor Station, this English Dark Mild Ale is an easy drinking ale, with a sweet malty beginning, and smooth finish. A Celtic word meaning “little dark one”, this sessionable brew, is low in alcohol, but full of flavor.

Poured into a New Holland pint glass. Pours a clear, deep reddish brown with a soft, light tan head that drops slowly leaving a nice cap of foam and some lacing.

Aromas of deep toasty, caramel malt base, no real hop aroma to speak of.

Flavors of toasty, nutty, caramel malt, big malt flavor for such a light beer. Just enough hop bitterness to keep it balanced.

Mouthfeel is light/medium, smooth drinking, spot on level of carbonation. Nothing to tire out the palate.

Overall a fantastic beer! It takes true skill to brew a light bodied beer like this and pack so much flavor into the glass. Very sessionable beer in the "true" british sense of the word. Get it before it's gone!
