Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a Shaker pint glass, there is no "best by" date that I can find.

APPEARANCE: pours a hazy, golden color with less than one-finger off-white head that quickly dissipated until a thin, broken layer of small bubbles remained, there is moderate lacing on the glass, medium carbonation.

SMELL: bread, grapefruit citrus and a metallic earthy note.

TASTE: the taste follows the nose, initially sweet bread and grapefruit citrus then a mild, metallic, earthy hop profile

PALATE: this beer is a little too thin and watery for my liking, medium carbonation.

OVERALL: this beer looked really good but was otherwise underwhelming , it's not a bad beer but there are too many better options available to ever consider buying this again.

Pours a honey amber color with 3 fingers of heavy head. Lace is left in a glorious fashion.

Strong herbal aromas with thyme and garlic clove, a touch of grapefruit. By and large a very herbal nose.

Taste starts with orange and grapefruit, and slips into the herbal territory with cilantro, thyme, and rosemary. It ends on a malty biscuit note with lingering cracker, bread, and grapefruit peel.

The feel is creamy but not over the top or award winning. It manages to keep that sessionable quality and an entertaining carbonation while finishing wet and invites another sip.

Overall, layabout isnt going to be a staple in my fridge but it isnt half bad. Good for the pale ale lovers at heart.
