Pours a lightly foggy orange-straw color with a finger and a half of white foam. Head retention is good. Aroma is raspberry, grapefruit and lemon zest. Raspberry is big, and slightly cloyingly sweet. Nutty, bready malts add a touch of depth and balance, but overall - the nose is driven by sugary raspberry. Flavor profile is raspberry, tangerine, mango, orange, lemon zest, and grassy hops, with earthy, nutty, bready malt qualities behind. Raspberry is still huge, and despite a lengthy lingering on the palate, is a little more reserved than the nose. Mouth feel is lighty fuzzy with light effervescence, and then a still, semi-silty texture that comes on afterwards. It has a medium thickness. Overall, raspberry notes are absolutely huge in this. Unfortunately, they come off artificial and a little forced, but otherwise, a fair beer.

Served in a 15.5oz Speigalau tulip from a 12oz bottle.

Not sure if I got a single bad one, or if this is typical of the beer...

This beer comes with an explosion of head due to the over carbonation of the beer. That carbonation carries a negative impact on the mouthfeel, like being tickled beyond cute and funny almost to an extent of extremely sandpaper. Hidden behind the white bubbly cloud is a beer with a ton of potential. There is hints of delicious fruitiness that stays wet throughout. Would be a very refreshing beer minus the bad carb job.

Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy medium golden amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy raspberry, pomegranate, cranberry, strawberry, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, papaya, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, green tea, light pepper/pine, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, fruit, tea, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big big juicy/tart/tangy raspberry, pomegranate, cranberry, strawberry, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, papaya, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, green tea, light pepper, pine, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness; and light fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of raspberry, pomegranate, cranberry, strawberry, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, papaya, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, green tea, pepper, pine, cracker, white bread dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, fruit, tea, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness and tart/tangy fruit balance; with minimal astringent hop flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness, tart/tangy fruit, and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, sticky/resinous/rindy, fairly crisp, and lightly acidic/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Minimal warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is a delicious fruited IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, fruit, tea, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink, despite the increasingly bitter/resinous/drying finish, not overly aggressive. Great balance of jammy fruits, tea, and juicy/dank/earthy hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, with no residual sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example. Never had anything like this before.

12 oz bottle poured into nonic pint.

An apricot-honey color with a thin 1/2 finger of head emerges into the glass.

Tons of raspberry puree on the nose. Hints of pomegranate and black and green teas as well. Everything that it says on the bottle is here. Not much hop aroma - the sweet adjuncts and flavors get in the way of it.

Flavor brings mud, pine, and pine bark to the mix with earthy green tea leaves, dirt, earthy raspberry, and a huge unexpected wave of medicinal alcohol. It's a flavor fight and nobody's winning. Slight wet paper remains on the finish.

Feel is slick and full of tannin, with loads of alcohol burn and slight crispness.

Overall, this was a bit of a miss for me. I've had their other new beer, Tropic Wonder, and that one was way better. Wish I would have just loaded up on that instead.

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a large, off-white head of foam. It smelled of pomegranate, raspberry and caramel. Strong raspberry taste and bitter bite.
