OMB’s flagship, Copper, is an authentic Düsseldorf style “Altbier” or Amber Ale. There are no crazy flavors or gimmicks with Copper – its full-flavored start transitions to a smooth, balanced, easy-drinking finish. It’s the beer that tastes like beer.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle that I bought in North Carolina. This is a very attractive beer and looks good for the style. The nose is rather bland, but I do get al ittle bready malt and a hint of molasses. The flavors are also bland, not showcasing either malt or hops. Crisp, clean body with snappy carbonation and a dry finish. Low to medium hops bitterness and light alcohol presence. This is a simple, approachable beer that American lager drinkers won't reject, but I don't find it a good example of altbier.

On tap at Bites and Pints into pint glass. Pours slightly hazy ruby red/copper color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head with good retention and spotty soapy lacing down the glass. Muted Aromas of dark grain and herbal hops. Taste of caramel, toast, biscuit, nuttiness, wood, peppercorn, pine, herbal, floral, grass, and light roast/char. Medium-high pine, herbal, woody bitter finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium body. Balanced grainy malt and sticky resinous hop mouthfeel. Lingering resin dryness and minimal hop astringency. Fairly crisp on resins. Perfectly clean lager flavors. Overall a spot on style example, just a little too bitter/aggressive on hops than I expected. Clean and fresh tasting.

Gorgeous. Appropriately named as it's a gorgeous copper color with a 3 finger foamy and fizzy egg shell colored head that slowly dissipates. One of the more attractive beers I've seen. Fruity and breast aromas. Kind of smells like fruitcake but much better. Full flavored without being over bearing. Very well balanced. This is the beer to drink when you want a great beer that taste like beer. Nothing fancy, simply delicious. It's the Toyota Tacoma of beers. It does what it's suppose to do very welll.

On tap at the brewery's pleasant bier garten in the Charlotte airport. It looks and tastes exactly like an altbier should taste. Nothing fancy. Bready and malty with a decent balance of hops. Clearly distinctive from its crispy competitor in Koln.

Bottle(s) 10 Aug 25- This amber wraps your tongue with a firm handshake to introduce the palate to a clean punch of ale, smooth malt, and a hint of hops. While not the full flavor profile of a draught in an English pub, the nature of an amber ale is straight and true making this a recommended experience for any enthusiast.
