"Mecklenburger" Bavarian Lager. Just like a Frankfurter comes from Frankfurt, a Wiener come from Wien (Vienna), and a Bitburger comes from Bitburg, Mecklenburger comes from Mecklenburg...Olde Mecklenburg that is...fresh from our lager tanks. This Helles-style golden/straw blonde lagerbier is super smooth, slightly malty and easy to drink. The perfect finish after a round of golf, day on the boat, or just out mowing the lawn. Cool down the scorching summer heat with Mecklenburger.

Taking the edge off of the summer heat, Olde Mecklenburg's seasonal German Light Lager is the perfect beat-the-heat kind of taste.
Pale straw and brilliantly clear, Mecklenburger Helles floats and creamy stark-white froth that endures the session confidently. A bursting floral scent provides a fresh but delicate honeysuckle perfume with a backdrop of baking bread and a hint of sugar cookie. Lightly malted, the delicate sweetness that registers on the tongue once again sings of fresh light bread, wafer and a softness of powdered sugar.
Then poof! The sweetness suddenly lifts and the crisp cracker-like support carries the load through a rise of spicy hop flavors that trend herbal, grassy and peppery on their own. Trending toward a balancing bitterness, the late taste continues the spicy hop flavors with mint, lemongrass and hay.
Light, crisp and clean throughout, the Helles Lager finishes brisk with a very short aftertaste. For those who like pilsner types of lager but choose to avoid the long aftertaste that beer often provides should find this lager highly suitable for these dog days of summer.

Helles Lager!
Takes me back to Old Mecklenburg and the bier garden.
Pale color as tis just.
Subtle aroma of hops.
Taste is slightly malty and slightly bitter.
Just right for the Global catastrophe that is Climate Change!

On tap on a peaceful Sunday night at The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery
Poured clear golden with two fingers of white head, curtains of lacing, partial cap
Smells like grapes, flowers, biscuit dough
Tastes like apples, bread, light floral, light malt, lemon, pepper
Mild bitterness up front, crisp and dry finish
So pleasant and flavorful. Perfect for a quiet summer's evening.

12 oz bottle, bottled 7/11/18 (enjoy fresh), poured into a pint glass. A clear gold with active carbonation with a finger of fluffy white head. Excellent retention on the side of the glass, moves slowly to a ring of lace by the end of the glass. Smell is floral hops, bread, and yeast notes. The taste is right in line, with a mild malt balance. The bread/grain notes and floral hop notes both hit on the finish and linger. The mouthfeel is medium high, with enough carbonation to keep it refreshing, but also has moments of smoothness. Another great lager for summer, especially useful to balance IPA palate burnout.

Pours a slightly cloudy straw yellow with minimal head, resolving to thin, persistent, lacing.
Smell is sweet and grassy with a hint of fruit.
Taste is smooth and balanced mix of light grains, faint spice and lemon.
Fresh, clean and crisp. Very nice.
