Clear amber-brown with two fingers of light-tan head. Good retention gives way to thick lacing.
Lightly musty aroma with malt sweetness and a hint of cocoa.
Tasty, muted chocolate, cherry, caramel with lighter stale hops beneath.
Full bodied with lively carbonation.
Great, refined sweetness and cocoa bitterness in this. Excellent balance. Delicious.

Thanks Corey, for more Bock to put in my mouth!
A beautiful beer. Deep coppery amber, great clarity, huge light tan head with respectable retention and lacing.
Simple aromas that transcends seamlessly into the flavor. Sweet caramel and bread with just a splash of Noble like hop grassiness.
Good medium rich feel with a soft carbonation. Smooth and sweet, and zero indication of the elevated abv.
A pretty good beer overall. Much appreciated! Cheers.

This is not really a doppelbock- more of a dunkel. This is a seasonal brew of OMB that usually comes out around the Thanksgiving / Christmas holiday season. Given as a gift, I'm not sure this brew is available beyond the Charlotte area. Very malty, smooth and drinkable.

Tap at Olde Meck
Pours a clear copper with a yellowish head, good retention.
Smells of light dry hops over biscuity malts along with some caramel, brown sugar, and maybe even a hint of whiskey.
Flavor is caramel malts, light floral hops, a hint of whiskey, and a touch of spiced apple.
Medium body with a sting of carbonation on the tongue.
This beer is really good, even great. Maybe my favorite from Meck yet. Very worth seeking out.

A: Pours a clear copper with half a finger of off-white head that fades into a thin ring with no lacing.
S: Biscuit and crystal malts with aromas of sweet caramel, floral lavender, and some notes of dark fruits. There are some dark bread aromas toward the finish.
T: Biscuit and crystal malts here as well with burnt sugar, caramel, and light toffee notes. There are some date-like flavors underneath before a slightly bitter, bready finish.
M: Medium body with mid-low carbonation, this beer is nicely drinkable and avoids being watery.
O: A pretty enjoyable beer, overall. Tastes and smells great and is nicely drinkable.

Poured on-tap at the brewery and served in a pilsner glass, the beer is a crystal clear, amber coloring with a filmy, sparse, white head. Nose of caramel, sugar, and candied fruit. Subtle, but inviting. Flavors are heavily roasted and rich in caramel, toffee, and nut. Very rich and layered sweetness in the palate, on a robust and crisp body. The aftertaste is nutty and apple sweet, with a slightly cloying, lingering sweet finish. Very easy to drink, despite it's elevated ABV and robust flavor profiles. Great brew.

Imperial pint on tap at the Carolina Beer Company CLT location. Brassy gold with visibly vigorous carbonation, but not much of a head.
Big fruity nose with apples, pears and a tarter element; cherries, maybe. Nutty and white chocolate hints, too. Lighter in color than expected, but certainly not light on flavor, this brew brings a hearty dose of husky/musty grains along with the fruity business. A touch thin in body, but with ample carbonation. The honeyish sweetness and my overall impression of this beer grew on me as it warmed.
