Served on tap in a goblet.
A: Pours Golden yellow, straw, somewhat hazy, with a white head.
S: At first a phenolic aroma, spicy like cloves, but eventually gives way to a cream corn aroma which somewhat detracts from the beer.
T: A good flavor, very spicy, clovy, phenolic, slight green apple, gives way to a dry bitterness.
M: light to medium in body, more than an average golden ale; light carbonation and not as effervescent as the style.
D: Overall an enjoyable, drinkable beer, heavy for a golden ale but it is a big beer. The cream corn aroma was a detractor from an otherwise excellent beer.
