Memo Pad from last night.

A: Pours a clear mahogany into an American shaker pint with a thin head of tan bubbles that dissipates slowly and leaves spotty lacing.

S: Rye and a bit of burnt brown sugar. Some piney hops muddled into the aroma.

T: More rye and some more noticeable light to medium roasted malts. Bitter dark fruit like an un-ripened plum. Pine resin hops keep the beer balanced and linger on the tongue.

MF: Smooth flavor transfers, medium body, slight astringent and moderate carbonation.

O: A good example of a rye beer and a good beer overall. Nothing overly great but I am glad to have tried this beer.
