Draft at Blind Lady Ale House in San Diego, CA. March, 2013.
Pours a hazy, dark golden straw color with a two finger pillowy white head that has excellent retention, only slowly fading into a thick, lasting cap. Glass is left coated with streaks of soapy lacing.
Floral grassy hop aroma with subtle citrus and pine character countered by light fruit notes and pale malt. Dank buds, grass/saaz and pine needle along with straw, bread, apple, pear and biscuit.
Medium bodied yet still light and easy to drink with a crisp, earthy hop bite that lingers over the bread/yeast, light fruit and pale malt into a dry finish. Earthy and resinous with pine needle and dank weed flavor followed by hints of bread, light fruit sweetness and biscuit-y malt. Refreshing, flavorful and easy to put down.
