Draft at Blind Lady Ale House in San Diego, CA. March, 2013.
Pours a slightly hazy, bright golden yellow color with a 1.5 finger frothy white head that quickly settles into a thick, lasting ring. Spotty lace left behind.
Sweet, slightly funky aroma with what smells like honey and light fruit along with farmhouse yeast, floral hops and peppery spice. Funk, straw and grass along with apple, pear, coriander, flower petal and honey.
Medium bodied with a crisp hop and peppery spice presence that lingers over the bready yeast, subtle farmhouse funk, light fruit and honey sweetness into a slightly dry finish. Peppery spice with ginger and coriander followed by floral hops, bread, apple, pear and honeycomb. Light and refreshing but nothing too out of the ordinary.

Named in honor of THE Michael Jackson, this is a joint project with Port Brewing. Brewery says it will set aside a batch to be "barrel aged and funked up" and released a year from Jackson's march 27 birthday. On tap at Tiger! Tiger!
Attractive clear light amber in the tall tulip with a modest carbonation. Average white head. Herbal taste like cilantro. Slightly hoppy in an aromatic way. Very light bodied. Really nice nose of the spicy floral element. I didn't taste much of the Belgian flavors, but it's a great light brew with a huge aromatic finish. I just can't identify the herb-like flavor. Very enjoyable quaff and yet another interesting subtle variation on the Belgian style.
