Beautiful coppery amber color in the pint glass. A modest head, but adequate carbonation. Warm and scratchy malt with a nutty, woodsy, roasted flavor. Aromatic hops enliven the bready malt.

Overall, this is smooth and pleasantly drinkable. It's one of the better bock beers I've had in a long time. There is a little of the winey flavor, but it's clean and well made. Medium body, a little bit grainy, plenty of caramel but not too sweet.

This beer poured a nice cloudy-rusty amber. A nice lacey head with low carbonation.

Nice sweet malts and carmel on the nose, with just a hint of yeast as the breath fades. This translated well to the taste as early on there is sweet caramel with light chocolate undertones. Nice malts finish with no aftertaste.

The mouthfeel is very good, with just slight cloying. This beer seemed a bit light for the style, but that lended to the drinkability. A nice one to enjoy.

Thanks to jcwattsrugger for sharing this, that he purchased on a trip a couple days before reviewing:

Pours a hazed/almost murky amber/copper with a few disappearing bubbles.

The smell is yeasty - some fruitiness, a whiff of alcohol and something akin to enamel/paint remover.

The taste is of a caramelish sweetness that is disengaged from a bit of herbal bitterness. Yeasty with some sour green apple at first, but it fades. It gets better as it progresses, but not enough to save the ship.

It is watery even though it has a certain thickness that would put it in a medium body, though small carbonated bubbles are still there.

Well, it surprizingly goes down, enough for a pint (or almost). Though it improves, it seems like an amateurish attempt.

A deep amber-orange body rests beneath a creamy head of white foam that holds well before dropping to a wide collar and cottony surface covering. Rings of lace add to its appearance. The nose delivers a clean, restrained maltiness. The body is medium-full and its fine-bubbled carbonation leaves it lightly crisp on the tongue. The flavor is balanced and clean with a touch of fruit an some very subtle floral & spicy hops amidst a straightforward maltiness. The alcohol is well hidden within the malt, but it finishes with a note of drying, peppery alcohol. Well done and quite enjoyable.
