A hazy orangeish-amber body reveals deep golden highlights beneath its frothy white head. The retention is quite good and it maintains a thin, creamy cap throughout most of the pint while leaving splashes and spots of lace here and there. The nose delivers a lightly sweet wheat malt peppered with soft coriander and some candyish/bubblegum yeast notes. The body is medium and its fine-bubbled carbonation leaves it delicately crisp on the tongue. The flavor is exactly as the nose suggests. Wheat malt dominates the front but allows its sweetness to come forth as its bubblegum-like candy flavors surface across the middle. Lightly pepperish spice and clove becomes apparent at the swallow and lingers gently in a dry finish. It's surprisingly flavorful and satisfying. It's a little aggressive for the style, but it's not overdone. An interesting and enjoyable American interperetation. Worth trying!
