This beer was served showing an amazing dark brown body with a fine tan head. The aroma was wonderfully strong malt. The taste was very malty the sweetness starts to build then it has a hop finish that stops it. It's feel is light and crisp. I was quite impressed with this and look forward to sampling some more before it's gone.

Tasted from tap at the Maryland Brewer's O-Fest on 10/17/04
I should have written down the info for this brew, I can't find any info on it at the brewer's website. I'm fairly sure I got this one right, It was only my third beer of the day.
Appearance: Dark, clear, but almost oak in colour, with a frothy off white head.
Smell: Dark caramel malt, cocoa, earth, spice.
Taste: Earthy here too, with a sweetish malt profile, chocolate, plum and hint of dryness on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Nice, medium bodied creamy character.
Drinkability: Excessively so.
