11.2oz bottle. No dating information found.
Murky, orange amber colored body. Minimal foam head with the pour, very thin interrupted ring. No lacing.
Aroma of berry and wheat tanginess.
Taste has some tartness and tanginess, and is salty. Brighter berry flavor. Background salt seems to rest at the rear of the mouth and tongue, but also on the lips. Berry fruit extends into the aftertaste.
Medium mouthfeel. Slight berry tartness. Along with the salt, this leads to a drying finish. Quiet carbonation.
Rather subdued overall, but has a brief peak of fruity tartness early in the profile.

Reviewed from (very) long-standing notes. Poured from an 11.2 oz. bottle into a Cigar City Brewing goblet. This bottle was purchased at a local bottle shop on 8/16/16, consumed 10 days later.
A: Hazy orangish gold – darker than most goses I've had. This has a lot of visible carbonation, but a thin ring of white foam is all that forms for “head” - and even that fades quickly.
S: Some funk, citric acid, and salty. Light biscuit and wheaty malts. Lactobacillus funk and lemon rind. Pretty nice.
T: Lactic tart, mild funk, and citric acid. Biscuity malts, and quite a bit of salinity with some hard water/minerally character. More tartness and saline after the swallow – the salinity really lingers.
M: A light body overall - but undeniably a little heavy for the style. Carbonation sensation on the low side. Low alcohol presence.
O: An acceptable gose, but nothing I’d go out of my way for. I think I’d prefer it either a little less salty, or a little more tart to offset the increased salinity. The bigger malt presence, especially as they come across more bready than typical, with the lower carbonation sensation doesn't help either. But still enjoyable.

Poured into a stange, the appearance had a light pink to yellow sort of color and a soft chill haze to it. The head didn't want to stick around and slid off immediately while not leaving any lace.
The aroma had some sour to tart red currants, sour-ed wheat and a decent dose of salt.
The flavor definitely leaned into the sour wheaty taste initially then dropped the red currants in for some extra sour and tart character. Red currant, salt and sour wheaty aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a pretty good sessionability. Nothing distracting despite the huge sour wheaty portion and saltiness. Clean salty sour crisp finish with a touch of sour wheat.
Overall, a very nicely done true to style gose, absolutely brings the style forth from it's roots while providing enough creativity to definitely want again. Can't believe this was on clearance!

A: The beer is quite hazy orange in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation along with some reddish hues. It poured with a short head consisting of medium-sized bubbles that quickly dissipated, leaving only a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of sourness are present in the nose along with strong notes of red currants.
T: The taste follows the smell, but isn't as sour and has more in the way of saltiness with notes of red currants.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and very tart on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is one of the saltier gose beers that I had before, but the red currant flavors helped to prevent it from being overly salty.

Nice and rose in color. The tartness comes off in the aroma of the beer. The head rapidly dissipates. The beer is nice and dry in body and surprisingly has little sourness despite the aroma. It’s really well done the acid of the beer doesn’t over power the sweetness.

Had on tap. Pours clear, pink in color with minimal head. Taste is floral--rose petals, white wine, and moderate salt. light bodied, moderate carbonation, sweet and salty. The flavors here are very delicate. Not a bad beer, but I wish I got more that stood out than just a bit of brine.

a beautiful red currant gose, one of the best fruited takes on the style i have seen, and the first beer from these guys in the small bottles, its super original and worth the spendy price. it is pink to red in color, not super carbonated, and a bit hazy but still bright too. it smells tangy for sure, a mix of the currant and the lacto, which is oddly clean in this one. the salt is intense too, mineraly and drying and also sort of filling, like a mouthful of sea water. the yeast is light and so is the wheat malt, not even all that beery because of it, but a fine summer drink with a lot of layers for the style. the yeast its fermented with is somewhat different and plays nice with the acidity created on the front end. some hops here too, and some iron or something heavy in the salt, a cool contrast with the overall lightness of this thing. nice use of the currant, its flavor is true and fresh and better than it is in most beers that use it. these guys do some really neat stuff, and its great to see it trickling into the united states finally. i love the salty flavor, its great with grilled chickens and bitter greens. unique and awesome, but not as weird as some of their others. huge fan.
edit: had another bottle of this this week, and am thinking it really does need more carbonation. the acidity and the brine work well together, but this is a flavor profile that should be highlighted by lively bubbles, and there is almost none of that. a real missing element in an otherwise outstanding and highly original brew...

Aroma is salt/minerals and light notes of citrus and fruit. The flavor is salt/minerals, slightly floral, citrus/fruit, malts and a tart/sourish finish.

Very good. The pink salt adds a nice rose color to the beer.
