not my favorite of their work, thats for sure, but also one of the only ones i have ever had on tap. its done in collaboration with ritterguts, which makes sense, being a gose and all. it looks like a cider from the tap, almost no head at all, decent clarity, and a radiant yellow color. it smells fruity, white wine, good champagne to be more specific, green apple, and green pear, juicy and citrusy too, with a clean lactic sourness that makes my mouth water a little bit. the flavor is weird, its not beery enough for me, i hardly taste any grain or salt, and the bacterial sourness is so clean that it doesnt taste like much, just produces this moderate acidity. its real fruity, but to me more like a cider or something than a beer, i cant get any grain at all. pear for sure in the flavor, its both sweet in the middle and dry later on, with a lemony note, a white wine tannic thing, and some minerals that help it finish. i wish for a little more wheat or pils malt or something in here to make it beery, and maybe a little more yeast character too, its so clean that its kind of here and gone before i can really get into it all the way. there has to be some fruit in here, but its kind of nondescript for me. overall something really different, incredibly light, but without the sort of soul i have come to expect from the beer these guys make. good but not great, quite unconventional in this style.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
