Picked this up at my favorite beer store in Belgium, Dranken Geers. Pale yellow, mostly clear pour with a fluffy white two finger head with great retention and lacing. Somewhat unique hoppy, fruity, citrus nose with some vinous character as well. Was hoping to get more from the Nelson Sauvin hops, but they were pretty subtle. Also got some hints of grass, grapefruit, and just a touch of caramel malt. The taste follows suit, but lacks punch and balance. Lots of grassy, citrus hops, but the malt are almost non-existent. The mouthfeel is slightly fizzy with a very bitter, dry finish. Have to say this is my first disappointing beer from Toccalmatto. Pretty average...

Bottle purchased from Birrae Domus in Rome.

Pours a hazy copper color with a one-finger slightly off-white head. The head recedes into a thin layer on top leaving solid lacing.

Smells of grainy pale malts with good amounts of citrus and floral hops.

Tastes similar to how it smells. Smooth pale malt flavors with hints of deeper caramel malts kick things off and are joined quickly by moderate citrus hop flavors. The citrus flavors turn mildly bitter midway through the sip and carry through to a moderately bitter ending.

Mouthfeel is good. It's got a nice thickness with solid carbonation.

Drinkability is also good. I didn't have any problems finishing my glass and could have another.

Overall this is an easy-drinking beer but it's lacking the body and flavor profile to be very good. Still, it's worth a shot.
