Thanks to Travlr for opening this bottle. Served in a mini snifter. Pours brandy-colored with no head and no lacing. Carbonation is low. A fairly-hefty amount of sweetness along with some grapes and other fruits plus a mild touch of oak. Some booze, though not all that much. Fairly sweet; a bit too much so. Body is medium. Nice for a small sample.

Bottle shared by Travlr. Thanks Gene.
The beer appears still and murky orange to auburn colored. The aroma offers grapes, sweet malt. Simple and straightforward with a dominant grape presence. Light and smooth on the palate with subtle notes of alcohol. Very low carbonation, virtually still. Additional notes of sweet malt and a hint of desert bread. Decent.

A beer aged in grappa barrels...okay...
A: The pour is a hazy amber color with no head or carbonation.
S: Booze and grapes for the most part. Lots of bready malt with a little bit of toffee. Tons of grappa aroma with grape skins and stems. A little bit of overripe dark fruits, and definitely some prunes.
T: Really a simple flavor profile, which is comprised primarily of booze and grappa. Grape skins with a bit of vanilla and prunes. Some light toffee and caramel, maybe some more booze.
M: Despite being such a big beer, not a ton of body. Almost no carbonation.
O: I don't think this beer was very good to begin with, and putting it in a grappa barrel didn't help anything.
