Bottle 0.33L. (tasted in 2017)
Hazy dark amber body with an average, frothy, tan head, mostly lasting with some nice lacing.
Moderate malty (caramel, toasted, smoked) aroma with some notes of fruits and spices; some dark chocolate as well.
Moderate-to-heavy sweet and light bitter flavour; long fruity sweet finish with light bitter notes.
Medium body with oily texture; soft carbonation.
Satisfactoty.

Picked this up at a great little beer store in Arlon, Belgium, Miorge Mihoublon. Beautiful mahogany pour with a two finger beige head with decent retention and lacing. A fairly sweet, malt dominated nose with hints of toffee, caramel, smoke, and dark fruits. The nose follows suit with hints of licorice, toffee, dark fruits, caramel, and some subtle dark chocolate. The smoke is much more prevalent than it was in the nose. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, sweet and syrupy, with a touch of bitterness on the finish. Overall, the smokiness took me by surprise. Wasn't expecting it and not a big fan of smokey beers, but it wasn't overpowering and it was a solid interpretation of the style.
