Wow, what a drive to get to this place! A hilly, curvy road the entire way coming from the east, and it was more of the same when we departed to the west. For that reason we decided to go light on our drinking. This brewery has the feel of a rural ranch setting. The brewery is located on one building and the taproom is 100' away. Other buildings nearby were noted. Picnic tables and many chairs are located in the yard behind the taproom.
The large, open taproom isn't nearly filled with seating so many people must sit outdoors. Twenty beers were on tap, including 3 from Healdsburg Beer Company which we were told has some ownership connection. Several of the beers are repeats of the AV bottled beers. As mentioned above, we decided to drink light because of the difficult drive, so we had a short pour of three beers, two Goses and an IPA. Each was brewed well to style, but none were notable enough to enjoy mention here. Ordering is done at the bar.
This was a nice enough brewery to recommend for a visit, just be aware of the drive to/from the place (no restrooms along the way).

Relaxed outdoor patio with picnic tables, Adirondack chairs and frisbee golf served from an indoor taproom operating under pandemic restrictions. Wide variety of solid offerings from the brewery lineup as well as a few one-offs.

Cool place to take a side trip. Bring your discs for disc golf. Did a brewery tour and they wanted to cancel it because my buddy and I were the only ones there but they still accommodated and took us through! We were on our way back from the Raiders game heading to Oregon and had to make a pit stop. Would love to someday make it back there.

The beer and vibe are great, but the disc golf course puts this place over the top. We really enjoyed our afternoon here. My G&T gose was a perfect beer to drink as I played a round.

Stopped by on our way to the Coast. Great taproom right off Rt 128 as you enter town from the east. Extensive selection on tap, and bottle and cans to go. Our group of 4 enjoyed two flights of beer, five beers per flight. The favorite was the Wild Turkey Bourbon Barrel Stout, but all selections were tasty. Really nice vibe. I would highly recommend a stop if you are passing thru Boonville.

I visited Anderson Valley a couple days ago while driving through Boonville. It's a bit out of the way, but could be worth a special trip if you're a big fan of the beer. It's a pretty capacious space, with plenty of seating and a cool copper bar.
They had 19 taps available when I was there, with about 8 of those offerings beers that they don't bottle and that are available on-tap only. I had a taster tray of 5 of those, and the beer was pretty good. Service was good as well, my server knew plenty about the beer.

When I think of the most hillbilly of California people, this place always comes to mind eventually. They have their own dialect they brag about. Repeatedly.
Wherever you're coming from, you've drove quite a ways, often on some very winding roads. All the brewery only selections have always been meh from my recollection. Gotta love the disc golf and horseshoes in the backyard if you will.

I visited this place twice. Both times Fal was inviting and genuine. Thanks Fal. First visit in 2011 with my wife was great. We got the treatment of the century. Now, before I say why... I realize all people will not get the same treatment, but I have to brag on the brewery and staff. I sent a letter ahead of time... special tour was waiting. The tasting room is great. Laid back... Anderson Valley/Boonville feel. Easy going. The grounds are open for people to picnic, etc. Second time was in 2015 with a couple of buddies. Again, I let them know we were coming ahead of time... Tour, tasting, genuine feel of love. Fal, again.. what can one say... he is the man. Beers are wonderful. The grounds of the brewery are very cool. Thanks Fal and Anderson Valley for the love.

Stopped in on a portland to SF road trip. We have AVBC back home so stopped in more for the scene than anything else. It beat all expectations. They had 5 non bottled beers on draft. One BA stout was amazing (rye barrel stout). I wish it was bottled. Taps were cool as well as the trademark bear with antlers. Loved the brewery towering right next to the tap room. The 128 reference sunk in as we got back on the road....rt 128! Check it out for sure!

A very scenic and relaxing drive through the mountains of northern California and then a great place in the middle of nowhere, with a very good selection of beers!

Big taproom and bar. Beers on tap you can only get here. Busy place and staff work it. Outside seating too. And they make world class beer. What's not to like? Visited twice and both times struck up lively conversations with other patrons. Friendly vibe.

My wife and I stopped into Boont on our way up to Mendocino and spent a nice hour and a half or so sipping beers at the Anderson Valley Brewing Co. It was a small place... nice bar and seating area and they didn't serve food at the time. They had a small selection of their own beers on tap, all high quality. Laid back atmosphere and worth stopping in for a beer tasting.

Dropped in on a Thursday afternoon. Was a steady stream of people coming through and a few small groups that hung around for a few rounds. Bartender was busy, but very friendly. Large selection of different styles from light to dark, easy drinking and refreshing to big and hoppy. Pretty laid back, and who doesn't love free disc golf?
