Enjoyed a pint ($5.00) on tap at the Georgetown Deli during a lunchbreak enroute to the 2013 Gap Battle of the Bulge re-enactment.

Shaker pint glass, brimming with a clear, deep chestnut brew. Head was creamy and frothy, a light tan color, and left very nice lacing behind. Aroma was R&R - roasty and rindy; quite nice! Medium bodied, it was easy on the tongue while going down.

Had a little light sweetness, but was dominated by bitter, roasty choco notes at the outset. Delving deeper, one would come across a good dose of pithy, rindy hop action, which long and bitterly. Quite well made and enjoyable. Prosit!!

A- Dark brown almost black from the dark malts.

S- Nice bold flavor of hops and fruity citrus notes.

T- Very hoppy with a fruity citrus taste.A hint of a smokey woodyness in the background.

M- Wet semi-dry.

D- This is a very good ipa beside a black ipa. This is the best Black Ipa I had so far. Only problem is this is hard to find. I had to travel a half hour to drink this. This need to get Bottle.
