On tap at the brewpub.

A - black with a thin lacing of white head that quickly fades away

S - roasted malts and some faint coffee

T - roasted malts, faint coffee, faint chocolate, faintly creamy

M - medium bodied, crisp, well carbonated

This is a nice porter. It has a decent flavor and great drinkability. I will definitely try this again the next time I'm at the brewpub.

A: The beer is very dark amber (near black) in color and poured with a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface.
S: There are light aromas of roasted coffee in the smell.
T: The taste has flavors of chocolate and coffee along with some notes of smoke.
M: It feels medium-bodied, smooth and rich on the palate with a moderate to high amount of carbonation.
D: The beer is rather easy to drink but the richness would prevent this from being sessionable. It paired well with Boylan's fried chocolate brownie dessert.

Served a crisp dark brown, one of the lightest Porters I've ever seen, the beer is topped by a thin off-white head that diminishes to nothing. Aroma is brown malt and burnt caramel, but none of the smokeyness mentioned in their description. The taste is rich caramel and brown malts with slight cocoa and subdued hops. The beer is light and refreshing with smooth carbonation. This is a very decent Porter, one I'd certainly have again.
