Pours a light golden color with a white froth and plenty of lacing. The aroma is bready and sour, a bit cheesey, and actually, kind of smells like opening a bag of white cheddar cheese popcorn. Pretty stinky which means good things are happening.

In the taste, refreshing tartness and lemon rind flavor. There is a bit of dusty yeast and earthy hop notes, but the story here is definitely the refreshing tang. Berliner Weisse can be delicious when done right, as it is done here by ShawneeCraft.

Light body with an aggressive, stinging, semi-dry carbonation. Finishes clean and moreish, this is the type of beer you could drink literally whenever and enjoy it.

Two Thumbs up here to ShawneeCraft, this beer is delicious.

1-liter growler poured into a berliner style bowl. The brew appears a pale light yellow color with streaming carbonation that initially provides a finger of white head that is quick to fade. A fine bead hangs around the perimeter of the glass and hardly any bubbles maintain across the top when swirled.

The aroma is very sweet smelling with a fresh grainy quality. Somewhat cereal-like with almost an accent of bubblegum and very mild lemon candy. When swirled, almost a hint of something like lemon yogurt emits from the glass, but this is otherwise very clean and simple across the nose.

The taste is initially sweet with that previously described fresh grain quality. A very mild lemon flavor is present that imparts the faintest tartness. Wheat meets cereal is the dominating flavor with that mild greek yogurt tartness almost lemon-like and lacto induced across the finish.

This is a light bodied brew with a modest amount of carbonation. As far as berliners are concerned, this has a very mild tartness... almost too mild to a fault but it is a homerun in all other aspects. Light, crisp, refreshing and absolutely crushable. In the summer you could drink this all day long with no regrets. For what I believe is their first attempt, I tip my hat. Hopefully they give this another try and amp up the tartness a bit.
