Black IPA, also known as Cascadian Dark Ale has been a crowd favorite for almost a decade. This is our 4th iteration into this style that is as interesting and complex as it is difficult to produce. It pours jet black, yet has none of the bitterness or astringency often associated with the dark malts used to create it. While a heavy-handed charge of Citra, Apollo, and Strata hops give this perplexing liquid aromas of pine tree and resinous forest.

Pours a finger and half of tan head on a black body.
The aroma is roasted malt and pine.
The taste is roasted malt sweetness, pine and grapefruit bitterness to balance.
The texture is crisp.
Enjoyable.
