Thanks to JW77 for the share.
A: Pours more brown than black with a small head. Very light in color for the style.
S: Notes of roasted malt and light chocolate.
T: Light roast for sure, light dark fruit, light is the key word here.
M: Uber light, not real tasty, not real good to be honest.
D: Pass on it.

Had on tap at The Pub yesterday. Review from notes.
A- Pours a black-ish color when held to the light some ruby hues show themselves on the sides. Poured a little on the weak side so a half finger beige head was all I got and it left fast. Just some light lacing on the sides of the glass that falls back into the beer.
S- This beer really isn't complex and I kind of like it like that. The aroma is the first example of this. There was a light roasted malt in the front of the nose. Some chocolate notes come and go. Also, there is a light cherry (artifical) note in there. There seems also to be a light hopping of piney hops in there.
T- Full flavors of the roasted malt and the cherry flavors clash right in the upfront of this beer. Not terrible tasting but gives off a light cough syrup taste. The middle is a little more clean with light chocolate notes and this ends with a light bitter hop taste as well.
M- Medium-heavy mouthfeel to this beer. Carbonation is good I thought. Malty light cherry taste in the palate and also in the aftertaste. While it's in the mouth it gives you a bleh feeling and not enough of zingy beer.
D- This years batch is a one and done on to something else beer. Past years have tasted better I thought and well..while this one isn't the best it still is a better offering than a lot of their other beers.

Got this one on-tap at the brewery and comes in at a high 9.3% ABV.
Appearance comes in pretty dark with hints of red within it, probably foreshadowing of the cherry flavor lurking within it. The head was poured a little thin and did not last too long but while it was there it was definitely a milk, cream color on the top.
Smell was a mix of cherries and molasses for me. Pretty good and reminded me a bit of a cherry cordial.
Taste...hmm this is where I felt this one failed me. It was rather sweet and a bit heavy on the cherry notes with a hint of toffee. The problem was that afterwhile i felt like I was drinking cherry cough syrup which was kind of getting old. Not very bitter at all and definitely could not taste the high alcohol content.
Mouth feel was good; kinda of not much going on though. Rather thin bodied and not very much carbonation. Super smooth though and as mentioned above really could not taste too much alchy coming off of it.
Drinkability, hmm I stick in the middle here because on the one hand, really easy to drink, smooth, not overpowered by the alcohol, but on the other hand the cherry cough syrup flavor started to get to me as I do not think I could have had more than one.

I was excited to see this at the brewpub last night since it doesn't seem to last very long when it appears. Poured from a pitcher, probably too cold so i let it warm up a bit. brown/black with a light brown head. Not much odor, what is there is chalky chocolate. Flavor is not incredibly complex. Chocolatey, some weak bitterness, milkiness, maybe some blackcurrant. There is a nice taste of hops on the finish, but it also seems out of place in this beer, and its not very well balanced. I guess i liked the beer, but for the style its a mess.
