It looks and smells exactly like I would expect. I noticed it was a bit dark for an IPA which is what was written on the chalkboard but otherwise it poured well with a good head and I was on my merry way. Mouthfeel was a bit thick for an IPA which I thought was weird enough to mention it. It wasn't wrong, but it's got some oats in it or something which makes it have that "chewy" thing happening I wouldn't expect in the style. The taste was bitter, but not really hoppy. It's not like a hop-forward beer, it's bitter without being super hoppy, which gives it sort of a burnt malt thing going on without the color I would find characteristic of that style. I see it's listed as an APA on the website but that doesn't change much - I think having it be "fresher" would be a plus to have more hop aroma.

Apparently, this is pale ale only uses Chinook hops. At least, that’s what the label says.
Nothing too crazy going on here really. Kind of a toasted thing going on, which is pleasant enough. Mild sweet edge with a mild hop spice edge. Kind of grainy going on as well. Decent enough I guess. Nothing overly memorable.
