This full-bodied and malty ale is brewed with numerous specialty malts, including 25% malts from the UK, to give it a caramel sweetness with a hint of light toast. The beer is lightly hopped for balance with a mild bitterness and just a touch of aroma. This is the perfect balanced beer to enjoy with good friends and good cheer!

Appearance: Served a royal amber brown color with an ivory head.
Smell: The aroma is reserved clean malty and similar to O'hara's Irish Red with a bit of evident dryness.
Taste: Crisp and gently sweet with a bit of hop tingle and dryness in the cheeks. There is an interesting hint op smokiness in the flavor as well. The finish is mildly astringent leaving a dry clinging aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: This medium body beer is crisp around the edges and dry; increasingly dry in the finish and as the beer goes down in the glass my mouth seemed to get more and more dry.
Drinkability: This is a tasty dry beer but the dryness does grow (preventing this beer from being extremely sessionable) and on this very hot day in the sun I enjoyed one pint and then sought something else.
Hope this is helpful.
Cheers!
