This beer does not compare to the German Hefeweizens. The color was cloudy golden, which i like the looks of, and the aroma was slightly citrusy sweet, but there was a bitterness present that is not in any German hefes that I have had. This bitterness carried through into the flavor and overshadowed the citrus flavor I come to expect in a good hefeweizen. A separate category should be made for "American Hefeweizens" because they all taste much more bitter than their German counterparts.
