Stopped into the tasting room on a trip to Yosemite with the wife. We stayed a few nights in Mariposa as a base to visit the park. The only Bar Highlight was the Hideout Saloon. Not much for beer choices but good fun.
The Mariposa Brewery has a tasting room south of town, near the fairgrounds. The room is nice and the bartender friendly. The prices are good too... taste $1 Glass $2 Pint $3.
Too bad the beer was uneventful. The IPA was the best of the group but way too light on the hops. Yellow in color, and light in taste. They said 7.2% ABV. Wasn't really worth a second try.
I wont write reviews of the Amber or the Hefe because they were both undrinkable. I suspect an issue with quality consistency. They currently only offer beers on draft and plan to start canning in the coming months.
They did have a limited edition Bock that was OK.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
