Well hidden in Ayrsely, in the Arcade building. Decided to check it out based on Uwftke26's review.

Atmosphere is pretty laid back, the smoke free environment is awesome. They turned on the Reds game tonight, probably because they were playing the Phillies, but whatever, go Reds.

I sat at the bar and felt like I was being served somewhat begrudgingly. The bartenders don't seem terribly interested in what they're doing, but this seems to be pretty standard throughout Charlotte, so I'm calling it average.

Great selection for the area. Almost as good as Duckworth's. Bells Two Hearted and DFH 60 Minute IPA were the highlights for me tonight.

I ate the fish and chips, which was quite tasty, but was also a bit pricey. Looking down the menu, most of the food seemed to command something of a premium. The 35 cent wing special is unfortunately only valid from 5-8, so go early if you're looking for cheap eats and good beer.

Definitely recommended, and the highlight of Ayrsley. Glad to know there is great beer in walking distance when my friends want to go to Wild Wing.

Mondays at Red Lion are $2.50 Pints. Establishment is SMOKE FREE!!

I went this Monday and had a pint of Stone IPA, Rogue Shakespeare Stout, and Boddingtons from the Nitro tap

Bartender served all beers in appropriate glassware. Large flatscreen HDTVs over the bar.

Glanced in the bottle cooler and spotted a respectable selection that included Bells, Flying Dog, Founders, Maredsous 8, Delerium, Duvel, and more that I don't recall.

I have heard great things about their food, and will try the fish and chips next time I go.
