Can: Poured a light amber color lager with a nice foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of light caramel malt notes with some grainy notes. Taste is also dominated by unrefined grainy notes with some caramel notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. A bit too grainy and lacking clean malt profile for the style.

A very pale amber in color. Head dissipated pretty quickly and no real lacing. Caramel and cereal grain on the nose as well as the palate. It's ultra clean, no off flavors at all. Its pretty much straight forward malt. There's a super small hop presence which is sightly spicy, but you really have to search. Carbonation is well done and not overly sharp. It doesn't really classify as an oktoberfest , its lacking those munich/maillard flavors, but I'm a real sucker for a well done amber lager. You could drink tons of these. Alcohol is barely noticeable.

A:
Pours a clear golden orange with a finger or so of scummy-looking white head that dissipates to nothing but a skiff of gray and a thin ring. Poor retention; lacing. (3.25)
S:
Bready. Hard water, earth, touch of diacetyl, some funky-herbal-grassy hops. (3.75)
T:
Doughy and slightly herbal. Level almost-metallic flavor up front with light biscuit and green hopscoming through and a little bit of bread and butter at the finish. (3.5)
M:
Crisp and slightly dry with a slick feel and a slightly lingering warm cereal aftertaste. Very drinkable. (3.5)
O:
Decent, rich, coating Oktoberfest-style beer or Märzen or whatever.
It comes in a dated can, which is pretty nice. $2.75 at the cheap store.
It pours kind of meh for a German-style IMO. Has a grainy aroma to it with some earthy green hop odors behind it. It has a touch of diacetyl to my tastes, which I think really compliments the style. It is fairly drinkable with a quick finish and a kind of slickness overall.
Would have again; worth a shot, especially since QC isn't exactly awash in this style. (3.5)
