Aged one year
Appearance: misty red/brown, like plum sauce; fine, sand coloured head is full with good retention
Aroma: candy and spice, like rum, and sweet caramel, toffee like a scotch ale
Taste & Mouthfeel: deep, rich, dark fruit flavours - plum pie, and like you're getting bits of caramelized juice on the crust; medium/full body and buttery texture fill the mouth and provide luxurious feel; not an incredible amount of depth, but still with flavour and mouthfeel that are just about perfectly built; sweetness of malts balanced by cutting alcohol burn and touch of hops that lingers, carrying these flavours with it
Overall: dessert in and of itself, feels like Christmas, to be had with family by the fire

Got this one from Rob. Thanks!
Clear, deep copper, nice red/orange colour, with an inch of yellow/beige foam. Good head retention, chunky lacing. Malty aroma, some caramel and Munich character, hint of hops and raisins. Same in the flavour, but with a bit of alcohol in the finish. Bitterness started out mellow, but became more prominent as the sweetness started to fade. A bit sugary, faint burnt flavour. Full bodied with low carbonation and alcohol warmth - not quite heat, but enough to really feel it on the palate. I enjoyed it. There wasn't a great deal of depth, but it had a solid flavour and nice texture.

Bottle part of the pack of three vintages. From notes.
A - Poured a nice bright ruby red colour. Lovely two finger thick off white head left nice rings of lace and a finger of retention.
S - Raisins, sugar, rich and pleasant but mild.
T - Sweet. Sugar, raisins, dark fruit, plums. Nice.
M - Nice carbonation, full body, and a sweet then dry finish.
O/D - Good stuff. Tasty and easy to drink. No hint of booze. Good but doesn't blow your mind. But heck, it was quite good.
