Sampled 8/20/2011 at the brewery.
Pours hazy orange/brown, nice white head, decent lacing and retention.
Aroma is very sweet, rubber, alcohol, pine, and some citrus.
Flavor follows suit. Oddly rubbery/chemicaly, lots of bitterness, some booze, plenty of caramel, pine, earthiness, weird and unpleasant.
Body is medium/light. Not overly drinkable.
They told me this is their IPA but scaled down to a "sessionable" abv, not that 5.5% is overly sessionable. I'm guessing this is the Victoria as opposed to the regular IPA that was used for the base.
