Exactly 5% alcohol amazing, how do they do it? Though I prefer stronger.
Unpasteurized beers are surprisingly different from the pasteurized ones, it's quite amazing. Sometimes they are better, sometimes not. In Poland, this seems to be less expensive than the normal one. Plus, bottles are cheaper than cans. WTF? Crazy. I guess Aliminium is expensive here or something, and it must cost more money to pasteurize.
The original Tyskie was pretty good, though I did not have it for ages. It seems everywhere in Poland is owned by Zywiec/Heineken.
Typical lagerish look, no point writing anything additional.
Aroma is much better than the original Tyskie. It's pretty amazing actually, really fresh and organic. Really inviting.
The flavor is less crisp than original Tyskie, which I think comes from the live yeast that continues to create new flavors in the bottle. It's a much more complex taste, and it makes you less inclined to drink fast.
Is it healthier than pasteurized? It's difficult to say, as the alive yeast has more vitamins, however will create havoc inside you and probably give you a worse hangover in the morning. They will feed on sugar and live inside you. This is why after many Belgian beers you feel terrible the next day!
Overall, yes it has a more complex flavor than pasteurized Tyskie. The different flavors from the live yeast create many sensations on the tongue. However it's less refreshing and crisp! It also has many flavor overlaps with the other Polish unpasteurized beers. Like they are all using the same yeast...
