Książęce India Pale Ale is an American version of the English top-fermented beer.
IPA has gained popularity around the world as a symbol of the beer revolution. This variant owes its intense aroma to a unique blend of six varieties of American hops. You can find chords of citrus fruits, ripe pineapple and mango as well as tea notes. The fruity bouquet of the beer contrasts with the dry, hoppy bitterness. This creates an aromatic and refreshing composition.

Międzyzdroje 19/7 2019. 50 cl Bottle from a very small Minimarket in the very small City center. “Micro market” might be the correct term. Blue version of Książęces usual design with the elderly, fatherly fellow in gold.
Pours clear amber with a small white head. Settles as thin puddle of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No Lacing.
Aroma is medium intense, sweet fruity, floral with light citric notes. Sweet malts, caramel and bread. Light odor of peach and ripe pear. Light citrus and lime.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, watery, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a light sweet undercurrent. Semi dry finish.
Pretty middle of the Road, generic IPA but well made and balanced. A bit on the malty side but not without a decent bitterness.

It’s got that familiar old-school IPA brightness, fairly low hop bitterness, and underlying notes of citrus throughout. Hits all the notes, albeit with less of a punch than I would’ve preferred; finish is a bit lacking.

Hopefuly this is better than the Harnas that I just drank. Another old man on the can, and a pirate ship...maybe the creator of this beer is a Polish pirate or something.
Amazing aroma just as the can is opened. Lots of bitter citrus, some peach and apricot...West Coast style.
After the Harnas, this looks really amazing. Still, quite a dark malt colour...aromas in the glass are predominantly bitter mandarin...somehow between opening the can and pouring the glass, the peaches and apricots have escaped, maybe into the lower astral.
In terms of feel and taste, this is a different dimension from Harnas. It swirls around your mouth when you drink it. But it still has too much effervescence as opposed to foamy flavour. A really good Belgian beer or West Coast IPA, has a superior mouth feel to this.
Flavour is well balanced but not as exciting as the best IPA's. There is a bit of a stale malt flavour somewhere in the middle of the mouth feel, between when you take the sip and feel the aftertaste. The malt is too heavy and too overpowering over the hops. It's much much better than Zywviec IPA, but it has the same issue with the heaviness of the malt...it needs lighter malt and more hops, with more apricottyness and freshness.
Definitely one of the best commercially available Polish beers, but it could be much better with a few adjustments. Maybe the pirate on the can should steal some more gold from the EU, travel to the West Coast of America in his ship (not via Russia obviously, the other way via Alaska or Chile) and buy some American hops...and then return to Poland. Watch out for icebergs.

From the bottle, it pours a clear golden amber color with a small, soon dissipating head that vanishes, but does leave some lacing as you enjoy it. The nose gets a pleasant, light, hard to describe summer fruity scent. The mouth gets some light bitterness and light malt.

Gold to amber color, clear. Moderate head but it leaves several wide streaks on the dimpled mug.
Fresh flowery hop smell with a solid footing with paler malts. Attractive.
Smooth start with a neutral body and heightened carbonation. The malt is rather nondescript as is the bitterness from the hop. Quaffable but uninteresting.

Poured from a brown 16.9 oz. bottle. Has a copper color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is very herbal. Taste is lemons, herbal notes, unusual and kind of hard to describe, mild bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer. As another reviewer stated, it drinks more like and English IPA.

Pours clear, gold in color with 3/4 inch head. Taste is herbal hops and a touch of grass. Light bodied, high carbonation, moderately bitter. Makes for an above average crisp ipa. Drinks a lot like an English style ipa. Would get again.
