Lucent gold with a few steady streams of bubbles and a decent looking cap. The head is rich ivory in color with a firm density that one doesn't normally see on beer of this style (Euro pale lager?). A few soapy streamers of lace are beginning to appear, but don't look to be turning into anything special.
The nose is decent, largely because there's no offensiveness whatsoever. It smells of lightly sweet grain and mildly fruity, mildly musky hops. Many American macro lagers or Euro pale lagers (or whatever style this beer is) could learn a thing or two from this nose.
Chernomor Extra doesn't break any new ground, but it is a better than average effort and is a pretty well-brewed beer. It benefits from being more malty than its peers with a sweet, lightly toasted flavor that offsets the hops quite nicely. The hops are now more earthy-musky with some floralness lurking in the background.
Although the finish is on the brief side, the flavor holds on until the fadeout. The mouthfeel is light-medium and is clean and refreshing. I especially enjoy the active, yet still soft, feel of the carbonation.
Chernomor Extra is a drinkable Euro lager that has more good points than bad. Ukraine does okay for themselves with regard to brewing; better, at least, than some of their neighbors. Before I drank this bottle, I was prepared to say that I would be drinking Chernomor nomor. Then it had to go and pleasantly surprise me. Now that I've given it a chance, I might actually drink somemor some time.

Well this beer is a particularly-pale straw color, small bubbly white head on the top of it. The smell propels me to check, and yup, its an adjunct lager. Damn. Some slight hop mixed in with the chemical. There are some slight hop and malt mixed in with the rest of the taste as well.
The beers name should have been a clue. ShareNoMore with your friends or youll run the risk of making them sick.

Let's go Ukraines! sorry, some stupid inside joke...here's a very clear beer with a quickly subsiding head. There's a very mellow aroma, it's pleasing though....some caramel maltiness and a crisp hop presence if just barely noticeable. I was expecting some bland and cheap beer, but I am slightly surprised and impressed. There's a certain malt presence that keeps my interest throughout consumption. It's not strong or super smooth, but it's there and yumm. I can't call it all that much above average really, but definitely better than the big three. It puts more on the table than a bland american mass produced lager. And the mouthfeel is awesome, definitely the best quality of the beer, adding to the drinkability.

16.9 oz brown bottle with a funky lable.
Beer pours a straw yellow with large initial head. The head pretty much disappears. You get minimal lacing.
This beer has a fresh "euro' type lager smell. You get some hops & grain husk type aroma. As the other reviews noted, no skunk smell at all.
Taste is perhaps a little above average (maybe a 3.15 if 3 is average). Some good initial hops, but the Beer seems to lack the crispness of some of its European brethren. Also get a little sourness that creeps in. Some malt tries to sneak in to moderate the sourness, but its not quite successful.
If they could get rid of the sourness, this would be a much better beer.

Color's a clear yellow, head a full billowy white. Aroma is soft, dry, notes of flowers, straw, little else. Mouthfeel is smooth, texture and body are light. An underlying sweetness pervades the palate, leaving a pleasant, unobtrusive finish. Indistinct hop presence, just enough malt, turning out tasty, nicely balanced, easily consumed beer. And by far the best Ukrainian pilsener this old suds-snoot's ever had

czech-style lager from the ukraine. half-liter bottle. very clear yellow color with a slight head but lots of lace. a quite grainy aroma with a bit of earthy hops. moderate carbonation with a very crisp mouthfeel....a definite light malty taste with perceived hop balance, but the grainy/malt profile dominates. hop bitterness comes on in the finish, and tingles the tongue. a very nice lager. absolutely no euro-skunk aromas or flavors. very tasty and refreshing. recommended.

Chernomor Extra, from the Ukraine: Pale yellow Czech style lager, with a light euro-lager aroma. Very little head, but what little it did have stayed for the entire glass, and left nice Belgian lace down the side of the glass. Very nice tasting beer, with a fine blend of malt and hops, nicely balanced with malts predominate. Absolutely no skunk tastes, and had a very lively taste throughout. Nice at $2.50 a half liter, great at the $1.39 I paid.
