Virpazar 2/8 2015. 2 liter plastic bottle from the local supermarket. They really like ridiculously big plastic bottle in the Balkans. White label with lot of gold.

Pours clear yellow with a small white head. A bit bubbly. Dissipates quite fast leaving only patches of foam behind. No lacing.

Aroma is malty and pretty non-distinct. Sweet ple malts, bread and cardboard, Light sourish scent peeking.

Medium strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lively and tingling texture.

Flavor is of sweetish lager beer with a quite distinct salty and sour aftertaste which lingers for quite long.

Ok and refreshing when cold - but nothing to write postcards about. And 2 liters is almost too much.

11.2 oz green bottle pours a clear dark golden with small white head and a bit of lacing. Aroma is malty and phenolic: more vegetables than grass, but not too skunky. Body and carbonation are light. One and done for me.

Decent lager. Pale golden color. Thin white head. Aroma of malt and grass, and grain. Malty, grainy taste. Moderate, hoppy bitterness in aftertaste.

Bottle. Clear straw. Effervescent with a white, frothy head.
Smells of adjuncts and cereals. Jacobs dry biscuits.
Mixed grain flavour. Light to medium bitterness. Distant hops discerned.
Bright and refreshing feel which is the one thing needed on a hot afternoon sunning myself on a beach along the Dalmatian coast line.

Poured from 500mL can into a tumbler. Can is dated 6/4/25, so I’m guessing that’s a best-by date.

Appearance: medium golden hue with a clear body and a strong effervescence. Head is a finger of frothy eggshell foam.

Smell: kinda yeasty with a mild malt sweetness. Not particularly enticing, nor particularly repelling; just an unremarkable Euro pale lager.

Taste: a bit more sweet than the aroma; I think this is brewed wtih a little corn. The finish is a bit harsh, though: kinda metallic, even. At first I was like, this is not so bad, but as I drink more, the less I like it.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a moderate carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: though it’s definitely not the worst macro lager I’ve had, this beer just isn’t my jam. The Nišićko dark lager is significantly better.

Tastes of Europe. Incredibly standard pale lager - slightly maritime nose, then on the tongue, bitter to start with a slow sweet rise. Nothing really clever to speak of, but washes down a caprese salad like a treat.

Pilfered from the Old Man's fridge in November 2023 and drunk in March 2024.

Upon pouring, the beer is crystal clear and bright golden in colour. It has a bright white head that disappears quickly, leaving a thin white layer atop the beer. Lacing is present on the glass, and large bubbles flow rapidly towards the top. On appearance, it would rate higher if the head lasted longer.

The aroma is classic Euro lager, with sweet malt and corn/DMS-like notes. There's a touch of alcohol and soap in the nose, too, and no sign of hops.

As with the nose, the taste is classic Euro lager. It's sweet, barely bitter, and designed to be drunk in the sun. If you look for them, there's the slightest whiff of floral hops, and the beer has a slightly sour, long finish that leaves a somewhat sickly note.

Carbonation is kept to a bare minimum, indicating this is meant for rapid consumption, preferably in the sun.

Overall, if I ever find myself in Montenegro looking for something local to drink and my options are limited, I'd choose this. But other than regional loyalty, I can't see a reason other than that for choosing this.

Cheers!

500ml can drunk at Student's park in Belgrade.

Look: Clear golden color. Solid off white head with good retention, moderate lacing. Very active carbonation streams visible.

Smell: Bready malt, honey and light citrus.

Taste- Lemony citrus and rotten apple, sweet bready malts and honey, floral/grassy hops.

Feel- Light bodied, almost watery. Crisp and lightly sweet. Medium/heavy carbonation on the tongue.

It is an OK beer.
