Though this beer is listed as a lager it is actually an ale, at least the tag on my growler says such. It is a good light beer, one that I'm not afraid to say I will go back for again, though I am a dark beer man. I'm not very good at decribing the tastes in beers, I know what I like, and I like this, and everyong of my friends enjoyed it as well (I'm trying to break them from the crap out there). This is a good one to break that barrier with for sure. If it is on tap while you visit, I recommend a pint with your meal.

Appearance: Servers a golden straw color with a with a white head that had faded (already) to a light froth cap. It had a notable amount of lacing down the glass.

Smell: The aroma is nearly absent but typical for a pub’s “light beer” offering. This beer had hints of pale malt and an even floral hops and a buttery citrus that fades off in the nose.

Taste: It is a Light beer, no doubt. But it is NOT a lager. This is a light ale. While it may be the closest thing they serve to BMC light it is *not* a Light lager it should be listed as a Cream Ale or an American Blond Ale. The flavor is malty and creamy with pale malts and not much else. There is a hint of hop bitterness in the finish but it fades fast. Overall it is quite simple, boring and built for the light beer drinker. Nonetheless it is quaffable and in fact quite sessionable if that is all you're looking for. As a Brewpub, it makes sense to have one of these available for the macro drinkers.

Mouthfeel: Creamy and light and apropos for the American Blond Ale style. It is lightly chalky.

Drinkability: Already addressed. Poundable if you want to. Sippable only if you dig beer water, but mostly, a well done middle of the road light cream ale.

Hope this is helpful.
Cheers!

2 L growler - served on 10/17, but waited until now to add because I wasn't sure of the style. A bartender told me they only do ales, but they've brewed a Czech pils and an oktoberfest, so I dunno. A rough pour gives 3 inches of white head that is creamy with nice retention and beautiful lacing. The color is golden and light (as the name may suggest). Smells floral and fruity with a metallic spiciness. Some pine/grapefruit/floral hops with a mild to medium bitterness (14 IBUs) and a light dose of malts. The body is light and crisp and very smooth. Quite drinkable, and a good beer to introduce to your macro friends.
